We love new trends! Every year sparks new ideas for bridal beauty. What are we looking towards for bridal hair and makeup trends for 2020? Read on for more!
Bold Lip
Traditionally, brides have always opted for a neutral lip and bolder eye look for their wedding day. With all the fabulous lip products that last through sipping and eating, a bold lip is finally trending for wedding day makeup! We love this because it’s a way to express a bride or sultry colored lip that can complement your gown and makeup. Let your personality shine with a bright red or suave purple. Choose your lip product with either a matte look or subtle gleam by opting for a long-wear liquid lipstick or a guaranteed lip stain. Let your makeup artist know you want to go with a lip color so they are prepared with the right products. After your trial, test out the lip color by going out to lunch and making sure it stays on throughout! You also may be able to ask your makeup artist what the product is so you can purchase to reapply if necessary.
The Art of the Highlight
There is too little and too much highlight—it’s all about the balance! Adding the appropriate amount of highlight can transform your look and give you an ethereal glow in your photos and on the dance floor. Placing your highlight on key points such as on your brow bones, along the top of your cheekbones, the tip of your nose and directly above your cupid’s bow on your lip will draw attention while avoiding that “sweaty highlight” look. The goal is to accentuate your peak features and contrast with the makeup surrounding.
Natural Hair
Wearing your hair loose and natural is becoming a wedding trend we love. There is a professional way to achieve this look, so it does not go limp or look un-styled. If you typically wear your hair down and don’t want the weight of an updo or worry about a head full of bobby-pins, ask your stylist for tousled, brushed out curls. They will be able to use the right products to add volume and hold with maintaining a natural look.
Always Airbrush
With wedding day makeup, a professional makeup artist should always recommend airbrush. Not only is it weightless and hypoallergenic, it is a flawless finish that will translate to wedding photography perfectly. Current airbrush products can hold up for up to 18 hours without any transfer or sweating off. If you plan on dancing the night away—airbrush is for you!
